Registration
for Fall 2008 - Full Members Feb 26, Limited Members Feb 28
"Raue" Rainbow Room Preschool (3,4 and 5
Year Olds)
At the YMCA of McHenry County, we regard each child as a unique individual, who needs to
be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. Through our qualified
and caring staff, we
will provide an enriching environment in which children can grow in
spirit, mind and body.
At
this early age, play is a child’s most important work. We provide activities
where children learn, explore, build a positive self-image and develop social
relationships with other children.
This
program will be broad enough to meet and challenge each child at his/her own
interests and
abilities.
Once a
week, all children enrolled in both Preschool and Gym & Swim will receive a gym
class, which focuses on the development of large muscles and a YMCA Preschool
swim lesson.
All
children must be toilet trained, no Pull-Ups. Children must be 3 or 4 years old
by September 1, 2008. One half of the first
month’s tuition will be due at the time of
registration; this is non-refundable and will be applied to your first payment.
(All children enrolling must be a Full Member or Limited Member at
registration.)
•
Tuition is paid monthly on the first of each month.
Classes begin September 2008 and will run through May 2009.

This program is for 4-5 year
olds looking to spark their imagination and curiosity with hands-on activities
and express physical energy with gross motor activities.
Every child loves to explore,
experiment, and discover. Science experiments are filled with interesting and
amazing reactions, effects, and results. Children in this program will not only
be captured with the beauty and fun of the creation, but may also be fascinated
and surprised with the scientific components.
Movement and physical
activity are vital for a child’s development. Children learn a multitude of
social skills through games and gross motor activities. Cooperative game playing
is one of the best teaching tools to help children develop social skills.
Children will have opportunities throughout this program to run, play, climb,
dance, crawl, and simply have fun moving though activities and games.
