School's Out......

Before and After Care offered at local schools

Babysitting 101

 

School's Out- School Age Child Care is our “school’s out” program that meets at the YMCA from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. on school holidays and institute days. For the working parent, we also offer early morning care from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For the majority of the day, children attending our “school’s out” program see a presentation at the YMCA or go on a field trip. Their fulfilled day ends with a dip in the YMCA pool. All children, kindergarten through eighth grade, are welcome.

Registration is required at least three business days in advance! Forms are distributed through schools and are available at the YMCA. We follow District #15 (McHenry) and District #46 (Prairie Grove) school calendars.

Cost is $35.00 per day for Full Members, $45.00 per day for Limited Members

$25.00 per day for those enrolled in the Before and After School Program

Before & After School Child Care

Before and After School Child Care is for children kindergarten through sixth grade. Each child is supervised in a wide variety of activities. Before and After School Child Care is a safe, supportive, nurturing setting in which the personal growth of each child is encouraged. These programs are well rounded and provide children with social, emotional and recreational activities that are self directed, group directed and staff directed in nature. This program runs from 6:30 a.m. until the start of school and from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Before and After School Child Care is currently offered at the following elementary schools.

• Prairie Grove • Edgebrook (McHenry) • Riverwood (McHenry)• Valley View (McHenry)

• Hilltop (McHenry)

Baby Sitting 101

This course is offered for potential babysitters in grades 5th-8th. Participants must successfully complete the program to receive a certificate of completion. Please bring sack lunch to enjoy during break. Call for dates.ost
