Aquanatics:
Enjoy the benefits of exercising while using the water for resistance. Swimming ability is not required for this class. (Discounts available for both the Aqua Step and Aquanatics.)
Deep Water Exercise:
Swimming ability a must; total body conditioning in the water over 5 feet deep. Benefits include complete cardiovascular conditioning, muscle toning and an all around good workout.
Aqua Step Aerobics:
Join the newest craze in aqua step! Each step you take burns calories, stengthens your heart and tones your gluts, quadriceps and hamstrings. help shape and define your lower body with the easy and stress free resistance of water on your joints. Tuesday evenings will be open to teens! (Discount available for both the Aqua Step and Aquanatics.)
Adult Swim Lessons:
This class will allow you to learn the proper strokes and breathing techniques to enable you to become a better swimmer. Great class for someone who has never received proper training or as a refresher course. Participants 16 and older work in small groups with an instructor to meet individual goals for water comfort and skill development.
Teen Swim Lessons:
This is a class for those who are 10 and up, never had swim lessons, or would like to refine their skills with others their own age.
Acme Masters Swim Program:
A team and fitness program for adults. Correct stroke fundamentals, interval training and a chance to compete in Master's meets are the goals of this team. Swimmers practice with the team at designated swim time.
50 Mile Swim Club:
Are you a fitness swimmer who needs encouragement? Do you often set goals and not follow through? Let us help you. At the Front Desk, there are YMCA Swimming Fitness Progress Cards. Please fill them out, and after 12 months, you will receive a certificate with your mileage. This is an excellent way to promote a higher level of fitness and meet your swimming goals. The swim club is provided at no cost for Full Privilege Members.
