Background:

Fel-Pro Triple R Preserve is owned by the McHenry County Conservation District. “The McHenry County Conservation District owns or manages a total of over 20,000 acres of open land diverse with woodlands, prairies, wetlands, ponds, creeks, and rivers. It exists to preserve, restore, and manage natural areas and open spaces for their intrinsic value and for the benefits to present and future generations” (www.mccdistrict.org).

It’s no wonder that this 225 acre site, managed by the YMCA of McHenry County, allows you to experience a beautiful private estate.  This site offers the following facilities/activities.  Some will require an additional fee.

· Two large pavilions     · Swimming pool    · Basketball courts   · Kayaking  

· Sand volleyball   ·  Softball and soccer fields   · Frisbee golf

· Spring-fed lake for fishing   · Nature trails for hiking   ·  Indoor and outdoor restrooms

Group Size: 1 –100 101-150
Main Pavilion $ 300.00  
Tent Pavilion $ 300.00  
Main Pavilion & Tent Pavilion   $ 500.00

Venue rental price and includes the following:

  • Use of main pavilion and/or tent pavilion
  • Shared use of all sports fields and shared access to hiking trails and lake
    •

The additional services listed below are available with a reservation, and can be purchased for the listed fee: 

  • Swimming pool                         $400.00                                                                             
    • Certified lifeguards are included
    • Open from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    • Pool reservation coincides with permit/reservation  times
    • Available from June 9 – August 19, 2007           
  • Kayaks from 1:00 PM -5:00PM    $400.00                                                 
  • Disc golf course                       $150.00                                                                                  

Making a Reservation 

Permits will be issued for events under 150 guests, provided the date is available.  On days when a private reservation has been made, no permits for parties under 150 guests will be issued.

 

Private reservations are necessary for groups over 150.  Reservations are issued based upon availability.

 

A deposit of $500.00, a credit card and a valid driver’s license is required to make a reservation and secure a permit.

 

Triple R Preserve is closed to the public on weekdays 6:30am-6:00pm, June 11-August 17th, due to operation of our Triple R Day Camp. No reservations of any kind are available during this time.

 

Fishing licenses are required for anyone over the age of 16 years old.   

Large Group Private Reservations:

Large group private reservations applies to events with 151 – 3,000 guests.

When you reserve Triple R for your private picnic, you not only get a pristine location for your party, but you also get exclusive use of the grounds.
